A
Agency: A company that provides services to create, design and handle marketing needs such as advertisements or campaigns from brands and clients.
B
B2B (Business-to-Business): A business model that focuses on buying and selling between one business and another.
B2C (Business-to-Consumers): A business model that focuses on buying and selling between businesses and consumers.
Brand Awareness: The ability of consumers to recognize and remember a brand. For example, mineral water is associated with brand A and toothpaste with brand O.
Brief: Guidelines made by a brand or agency in running an advertisement or campaign. This guide contains an explanation of the product or campaign, marketing objectives, target audience, the message to be conveyed, and other conditions.
C
Call to Action: A message/advice that is in or at the end of the content. This message aims to encourage the audience to act according to the promotion/campaign objectives. For example, “Visit the website…” and “Click the link…”.
Campaign: Promotional activities carried out within a certain period of time to increase brand awareness, increase sales and raise funds.
Caption: A series of words written on social media such as Instagram, Facebook, etc.
Content Marketing: The creation of content with the aim of increasing brand awareness, consumer and brand relationships, providing a good experience for customers so that customer loyalty is formed.
Conversion: A situation where the audience takes an action that benefits the business, such as registering an account or shopping on the website.

Digital Marketing: The process of marketing products and services from a brand through electronic media to improve a business by implementing strategies that can attract consumers and form and retain customers.
E
E-Commerce: All activities that include trading goods and services through electronic media.
Engagement: Interactions made by audiences on content such as Like, Comment, Share, Retweet, etc.

Facebook Ads: A Facebook feature used to promote content from a Fan Page. The goal is to increase brand awareness and conversion and as a consideration for the audience in buying a product / service.

Google Keyword Planner: A free service from Google to find out how much a keyword is searched by internet users every month.
Google Analytics: A free service from Google that allows users to find out the statistics of a website. This tool can make it easier to track the location of website accessors, the browsers they use, the pages accessed and other limited information.
Google Trends: A free service from Google that serves to show the number of searches by keyword. This tool can also show a comparison of keyword popularity and keyword popularity over a certain time in a country.
H
HTML (Hyper-Text Mark-up Language): The language used to write pages on the Web. The code can be viewed by right-clicking on the web page and selecting “view code” or clicking “Ctrl + U”.
HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol): Application layer network protocol for distributed, collaborative, hypermedia-enabled information systems.
HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure): A protocol that is more secure than HTTP because it can protect encrypts and decrypts requests from web pages. For example, when it comes to personal information such as credit card details on the internet, HTTPS will protect the credit card details.
Hyperlink: A link that is embedded in an electronic document, and when clicked will direct the user to the link.
I
Impression: Refers to the number of times the advertised content appears on the user’s screen. For example, the content appears on the user’s screen 100 times, then the total ‘impression’ is 100.
Influencer: Someone who has a large following, and therefore has the power to communicate their opinions in order to influence their followers.
Instagram Ads: Instagram advertising feature to increase a brand’s customer base through visuals (photos and videos).
Internet Marketing: Techniques for marketing products or services through internet media.
K
Keyword: A term entered in a search engine such as Google, with the aim of increasing the popularity of the term in the search engine.
Key Performance Indicator (KPI): The target or goal to be achieved from promotional activities or campaigns.
