Privacy Policy

SHIFTinc ("SHIFTinc", "we", "us", "our") is a creative and technology studio located at Jl. Boulevard Raya Block L7, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Utara, DKI Jakarta 14240, Indonesia. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have — including when you interact with us through our website, email, or WhatsApp.

This policy applies to visitors of shiftinc.id, our clients and prospective clients, and anyone who contacts us via the channels described below. It does not cover MenurutLo, which is a separate product with its own, separate privacy policy.

Our Terms of Use — covering website content licensing, hyperlinking policy, and liability — are published separately and are not part of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Website usage data. When you browse shiftinc.id, we (and any analytics or advertising partners we use) may collect data via cookies and similar technologies: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring site. See Section 6 (Cookies).

B. Contact and inquiry data. When you reach us through a contact form, email, or WhatsApp, we collect what you provide: name, email address, phone number, company name, and the content of your message.

C. WhatsApp communication data. When you message our official WhatsApp Business number, we collect: your phone number, WhatsApp display name, message content, message timestamps, and delivery/read-status metadata made available to us through the WhatsApp Business Platform.

We do not knowingly seek financial account details, national ID numbers, or other sensitive personal data through these channels. If you send such data to us unprompted, we handle it under the same safeguards described in Section 5 and delete it once it's no longer needed for the purpose you provided it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data described above to:

  • Respond to inquiries and manage our sales and project pipeline;
  • Route and prioritize incoming messages so the right person on our team sees them (see Section 3–4);
  • Send updates related to a project or transaction you've engaged us for;
  • Maintain and improve our website and services;
  • Meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your WhatsApp or email data to send marketing or promotional messages unless you have separately and explicitly opted in.

3. WhatsApp Business Platform and Automated Message Handling

SHIFTinc communicates with you on WhatsApp using the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API), a service provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. ("Meta"). Here's what that means for your data:

  • Messages you send us travel encrypted between your device and Meta's Cloud API infrastructure, where they are decrypted and forwarded to our systems. In providing this service, Meta acts as a data processor on our instructions. Meta's own WhatsApp Privacy Policy governs how it handles data in transit.
  • Incoming WhatsApp and email messages [CONFIRM: are / are not] automatically triaged, summarized, or routed using internal workflow automation [CONFIRM: and AI-assisted classification, naming the provider if so] before a member of our team reviews and responds.   • We request your consent (opt-in) before adding you to any recurring or marketing WhatsApp communication. A transaction or an inbound message from you is not treated as marketing consent on its own.
  • You can withdraw consent and stop receiving messages from us at any time by replying STOP, or by telling us directly. We will honor this within a reasonable time.
  • We retain WhatsApp conversation data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected — typically the duration of an active inquiry or project, plus a limited period for record-keeping — after which it is deleted or anonymized.

4. Email Handling

Emails sent to our published addresses (contact@, support@, candidate@, finance@shiftinc.id) [CONFIRM: are / are not] similarly triaged and routed to the correct team using internal automation before a human responds. We do not use email content for purposes beyond responding to your inquiry, internal record-keeping, and the purposes described in Section 2.

5. How We Protect and Share Your Information

We limit access to personal data to SHIFTinc personnel and the following categories of service providers, who process data on our behalf under instructions consistent with this policy:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API), as described in Section 3.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — website hosting and email delivery (Jagoanhosting / cPanel).
  • Automation and AI processing tools [CONFIRM if applicable] — workflow automation and, where used, third-party AI model providers, used strictly to classify, summarize, or route inquiries. These providers do not use your data to train their models on our data, per their business/API terms. [CONFIRM this is accurate for the specific provider(s) used.]

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to operate parts of our website and to understand how visitors use it. Some advertising or analytics partners we work with may also set cookies. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may limit some website functionality.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you're located — including under Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law No. 27 of 2022 ("UU PDP") — you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

9. Children's Privacy

Our website and WhatsApp channel are intended for business inquiries and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18.
